Can you briefly introduce us to your spa?

Our spa extends over 900 m² – a true wellness oasis in the heart of the Four Seasons Hotel in Megève. Charlotte, the spa manager, places well-being at the center of the experience and is dedicated to continuously enlivening the spa and providing exceptional service.
We have 6 treatment rooms, including a suite with a rain shower and private bathtub for our guests. All cabins are kept in white – a symbol of purity and softness – creating a calming, pleasant atmosphere.
The spa also includes a relaxation room and a tea lounge that guests can use throughout their wellness ritual. Before the treatment, guests relax with detox water in the cozy tea lounge, also kept in shades of white, while filling out their health questionnaire.
The pool area also follows this clear, white color scheme, creating a bright, pure place for relaxation. The color additionally gives the space a fresh vibrancy and calms the mind upon entering. I believe that this conscious use of white gives the spa its very special character.

Can you give us a brief insight into the history of your establishment?

Our establishment is marked by the visionary heritage of Baroness Noémie de Rothschild, who created a winter refuge in 1919 – inspired by the great Swiss ski resorts. She chose Megève, a village with discreet charm, flooded with light and surrounded by gently rolling mountain landscapes.
Here she founded the Domaine du Mont d’Arbois and shaped a special lifestyle – a blend of nature, elegance, and culture.

Over the decades, her son Edmond transformed Megève into a glamorous stage where filmmakers, artists, and icons met – a place where festivity and excellence became the hallmark.

In 2017, this vision gained new brilliance with the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Megève – a collaboration between Edmond de Rothschild Heritage and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Ariane de Rothschild personally oversaw every detail, together with architect Bruno Legrand and interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
Furniture and artworks, often from her private collection, give the hotel a special soul – intimate yet contemporary.

What values shape your daily work?

In my daily life, I lead the team and promote a true team spirit and strong collaboration. Our top priority in the spa is quality. Every guest should feel completely cared for – with attention, warmth, and genuine dedication.
We take deliberate time for every step: from the warm welcome and the discovery of the spa to the treatment and an individual consultation. Our goal is to accompany every guest from A to Z and create a holistic, tailored experience.
What makes working in a hotel particularly enriching is the opportunity to care for our guests multiple times during their stay. This creates a real connection – we can observe skin development, discuss treatments already received... and that is exactly what I find great.
Guests can look forward to a warm, professional, and individually tailored experience, where every detail counts.

What can your guests expect when they enter your spa?  

Relaxation is important – but our guests also expect visible results that meet their expectations. As mentioned before: Those who come to us for a massage want to feel truly relaxed afterward. For facial treatments, they desire visible results.

At Four Seasons, personalization is a central desire of our guests. Tailored massages are therefore particularly popular – because our customers want to feel that they are being individually cared for. This aligns perfectly with our values: personal attention and a genuine relationship of trust.

We are also interested in their lifestyle, nutrition, and holistic understanding of well-being. This way, we better understand their needs and can specifically adapt the treatments. We welcome guests who are sensitive to energies, chakras, and body-mind balance, just as much as those who simply want to relax – completely without frills.

Thanks to the diverse skills of our massage team, we can meet this wide range of expectations. And with our new tools and devices, we are able to respond even more specifically to individual wishes. This, I believe, is our special strength.

What do you particularly value when selecting skincare products? 

We place great importance on the individual needs and expectations of each client. This includes a thorough analysis of their skin condition, an understanding of what they hope to achieve from the treatment, and what results they desire.
We also consider their home care routine to better recognize their needs and enable a tailored treatment.
In doing so, we always ensure to maintain the relaxing character of the spa experience – because our clients come to us to unwind and recharge.

What feedback do you receive from your customers about the treatments & products?

Our clients often notice immediately visible results after the treatment: a more radiant complexion, visibly refreshed, plumped, and slightly tightened skin.

    What do you understand by true luxury skincare?

    True luxury skincare stands primarily for genuine transparency – regarding the quality of the products, their origin, and the nature of their formulation.
    For us, luxury also means giving each client our full attention, recognizing their individual needs, and fulfilling their expectations.

    Even though we only offer two facial treatments with QMS Medicosmetics, our approach is completely individual. Once a client decides on a treatment, we take the time to thoroughly analyze their skin, understand their wishes, and adjust the protocol accordingly.
    This can be complemented by targeted massage techniques – so that they feel completely cared for from the very first moment.

    Our goal is for them to leave the spa not only relaxed but also with tailored skincare tips to extend the effects of the treatment at home.

    I am convinced that the brand significantly enriches the spa experience - through its transparency and the visible effectiveness of the treatments. We offer not only relaxation but also real results that are visible immediately after the treatment. This is a crucial point for our international clientele - they place great value on quality and effectiveness.

    When a client books a massage, they want to feel relaxed afterward. However, if they choose a facial treatment, they expect both relaxation and visible results. And that is exactly what QMS offers. That is why our therapists enjoy working with the brand so much - they have confidence in the results they can achieve. And this trust transforms the entire spa experience.

    What developments or trends do you currently see in the spa & skincare sector?

    Currently, we are observing a real transformation in the spa world: brands are increasingly recognizing how important it is to work deeply – especially on the facial muscles – to achieve visible results. Facial massage techniques are becoming more and more in focus, which I see as a very positive development.
    The interest in self-massage and tools like Gua Sha is also increasing significantly – yet, for me, manual work remains the most effective. It ensures real relaxation and visible results, especially on the face, neck, and décolleté.

    Another strong trend is the so-called layering – the application of multiple products or textures during a treatment: cleansing, peeling, mask, targeted serums, eye care, cream. Clients desire a complete, effective skincare routine and are increasingly inspired by the Korean skincare philosophy, which focuses on a step-by-step application of multiple products.

    That is exactly why QMS treatments are so popular: they combine this holistic approach with immediately visible results – especially regarding glow, radiance, and freshness of the complexion. And that is exactly what our clients are looking for today.
